You may recognize our trucks on highways across the country, particularly throughout Wisconsin and neighboring states. Our home terminal in Plainfield WI supports 83 drivers, with an additional 30+ Owner Operators.

While produce hauling is our primary specialty and keeps us busy during harvest season, we maintain steady freight availability year-round. All drivers hired by us are subject to the following criteria:
- Be at least 23 years of age
- Specialized apprenticeship opportunities may be available for eligible drivers under the age of 23
- Possess a Class A, WI CDL
- No more than three moving violations in the last 36 months
- Must meet all applicable DOT regulations and be familiar with the FMCSR’s
- Each driver must pass a DOT physical performed by a Plainfield Trucking approved physician
- You must also pass a pre-employment drug screen and also meet the eligibility criteria to perform our job description
- No DUI or reckless driving tickets in the last five years and none ever in a commercial motor vehicle
- No more than two preventable accidents in the last two years

Our average independent contractors earn between $100,000 and $150,000 per year. Independent contractors are paid 76% of the revenue. We provide all trailers.
Settlements are paid weekly upon receipt of clear bills-of-lading. There are no delays or hold backs for broker loads.
Contractors must pass a pre-employment drug screen and meet the following eligibility criteria:
- A valid commercial driver’s license
- A current physical card and long form physical
- An insurance certificate
- Copy of paid 2290 (previous and current year)
- Current annual inspection
- Copy of vehicle title
- Proof of worker’s compensation insurance
- Signed lease agreement

We offer a referral bonus up to $1000 per qualified driver. Longevity awards are available after two years of continued service.

Driver Choice Pay Scorecard & Bonus Program
Plainfield Trucking evaluates each driver’s performance using data from administration, incidents, violations, DOT inspections, delivery timeliness, fuel efficiency, idle time, and vehicle maintenance.
Six month average scores determine bonus eligibility:
• Platinum: 9% of wages
• Gold: 6% of wages
• Silver: 3% of wages

Award: $50
Driver of the Year
Presented to the driver who demonstrates exceptional performance based on safety, professionalism, and total miles driven.
Award: $1000, recognition at the annual safety meeting, and a commemorative plaque.

2% of wages earned after 2 years of employment incremental up to 10% for years of longevity.
